Our Story
Born From Experience
ZapFilment was born out of necessity following the success and rapid growth of our parent company, Zappies Ltd, which was founded in 2006.
Zappies is a fast-growing and innovative toy distributor and importer, supplying products across the UK and internationally. As the business grew, so did the complexity of its logistics operation.
For many years, Zappies relied on multiple 3PL providers and transport companies to manage different parts of its supply chain, including international imports and exports, container shipments to the USA, pallet deliveries across Europe and domestic B2B parcel consignments.
It worked — until it didn’t.
As Zappies continued to grow, we found ourselves dealing with multiple warehouses, multiple contacts, multiple systems and multiple logistics partners. With that came errors, delays and unnecessary complexity.
Eventually, we asked ourselves a simple question:
Why can’t we do this ourselves — and do it better?

From One Warehouse to a Growing Fulfilment Operation
In 2020, Zappies Fulfilment was founded initially to handle the growing fulfilment requirements of Zappies Ltd.
But we didn’t want to simply replicate the traditional 3PL model. We’d experienced the frustrations of outsourcing fulfilment first-hand, so we set out to build the kind of fulfilment operation we wished we’d had ourselves.
That meant focusing on flexibility, communication, technology and getting the details right.
What started with just a couple of people in high-vis jackets, working around the warehouse and driving a forklift, has grown into a multi-channel fulfilment operation supporting businesses across a range of ecommerce and wholesale requirements.
Today, ZapFilment operates dedicated teams and capabilities across Amazon FBA preparation and kitting, ecommerce fulfilment and wholesale shipping, alongside warehousing, inventory management and nationwide despatch.
